Corridor Conservation Coordinator:

We’re looking for a Corridor Conservation Coordinator to help protect Karnataka’s wildlife corridors. This role will involve working with existing field data, conducting field visits, publishing findings, and other community outreach efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

  • Any life sciences degree.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the field of wildlife conservation.
    Basic knowledge of plant identification.
    Knowledge of GIS is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills

  • A keen interest in wildlife conservation.

  • Field knowledge of wildlife ecology, and conservation principles.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.   

  • Proficiency in using field equipment and collating field data.

Your Role:

  • Conduct field assessments to identify critical threats and connectivity bottlenecks within the corridors.

  • Devise strategies for corridor conservation, including habitat restoration and wildlife monitoring.

  • Work with GIS software to map corridors, analyse data, and create reports.

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to raise awareness about the importance of wildlife corridors.


Role Details:

Location: Based out of our Bengaluru office with occasional travel to various parts of Karnataka.
Commitment: Short-term contract but extendable based on performance and interest.
Remuneration: Competitive salary based on experience and skills.
